The Monkees was a half-hour comedy television series that originally aired on NBC for two seasons, from September 1966 to March 1968. It was created by Robert Rafelson and Bert Schneider for Screen Gems and Raybert Productions, for which 58 episodes were produced. The series won two Emmy Awards in 1967.
