Both Sides Now Publications maintains a web database of music label histories and discographies. Its primary focus is LP releases on small and medium-sized record labels. Both Sides Now formerly published a book, Oldies on CD, and the Both Sides Now Stereo Newsletter, both of which are out of print. The site includes a moderated message board. Its name punningly references the two sides of a record and the Joni Mitchell song, "Both Sides, Now".
Included in its discographies is the "Colpix/Colgems Album Discography" by David Edwards and Mike Callahan, which includes a brief history of the labels. Discographies and histories of Bell Records and the early years of Rhino Records are also included.
